Locations on the west side of Lake Pontchartrain will continue to see tide levels slowly rise through the evening likely only slowing down or holding steady until late Thursday or possibly Friday before finally beginning to fall. In Mississippi, Southern Hancock County.* WHEN...Until 4 PM CDT Thursday.* IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure will be inundated. Some shoreline erosion will occur. Numerous roads outside of the hurricane risk reduction system in St Bernard parish currently impacted will likely see only minor improvement tonight before lowly rising again tomorrow. Water could cover several roads in the Shoreline Park area around Bay St. Louis at high tide. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Flooding could encroach on low sections of Hwy 1 between Port Fourchon and Grand Isle during high tide Thursday morning as well as low lying areas around Pascagoula Bay.
