...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky,
including the following counties, in south central Kentucky,
Laurel. In southeast Kentucky, Clay and Jackson.
* WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 749 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall from
thunderstorms has occurred. This will cause small stream
flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen in an hour.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Manchester, Benge, Fogertown, Datha, Royrader, Grace,
Mcwhorter, Moores Creek, Sidell, Greenmount, Fall Rock,
Peoples, Parrot, Littleton, Eberle and Larue.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
