The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Pensacola FL to Pascagoula MS out 20 NM...
  Mississippi Sound...
  South Mobile Bay...

* Until 415 AM CDT.

* At 259 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located over Farewell Buoy, moving east at 10
  knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Sand Island Lighthouse, Fort Gaines, Dauphin Island Bridge, Fort
  Morgan, Bon Secour Bay, Farewell Buoy, and Heron Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts to 40 knots, small hail, high waves, dangerous lightning,
and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
