...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM CDT
FOR ST. HELENA...NORTHERN LIVINGSTON...SOUTHEASTERN EAST FELICIANA...
NORTHWESTERN TANGIPAHOA...NORTHEASTERN EAST BATON ROUGE AND
NORTHWESTERN WASHINGTON PARISHES...SOUTHWESTERN WALTHALL...SOUTHERN
PIKE AND SOUTHEASTERN AMITE COUNTIES...

At 623 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles northwest of Gillsburg to Greenwell Spring,
moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Greensburg, Osyka, Livingston, Independence, Roseland, Walker, Amite,
Tangipahoa, Watson, Darlington, Amite City, Mount Herman, Kentwood,
Pride, Baker, Brownfields, Greenwell Spring, Gillsburg, Easleyville,
and Albany.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 12 between mile markers 15 and 33.
 Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 38 and 66.
 Interstate 55 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 5.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
