.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 338 PM CDT Sun Mar 16 2025

Tonight through Monday Night...

Surface high pressure across eastern Texas and the northwest Gulf
will shift eastward over the southeast states and northeast Gulf by
late Monday night. Cool and very dry conditions will occur through
the near term as northwesterly to northerly winds prevail. A dry low-
level airmass will mix down to the surface on Monday, allowing
surface dewpoints to lower to between 22 and 27 in the afternoon.
The combination of this dry airmass mixing down and daytime high
temperatures ranging from 65 to 70 degrees should result in relative
humidity values dropping to around 20 percent. Temperatures will
average 3 to 8 degrees below normal, with lows tonight and Monday
ranging from 38 to 43 degrees interior areas, with mid 40s to lower
50s near the coast. /22

Tuesday through Sunday...

High pressure will slowly move east across the area through
midweek under a northwest upper level flow. This will maintain dry
conditions will slowly warming temps. Moisture levels will slowly
increase ahead of the next approaching cold front Wednesday night.
The lack of quality moisture return will keep instability levels
low with just scattered to locally numerous showers expected along
the front. Can't rule out an isolated thunderstorm, however
thunderstorms will likely remained confined to the marine area
where there will be greater instability. Cooler and drier air
follows for Thursday into Friday with moderating temps Saturday
into Sunday. /13

VFR conditions prevail across the region through tonight. Winds

.MARINE...
Issued at 338 PM CDT Sun Mar 16 2025

The Small Craft Advisory for tonight into Monday has been
expanded in coverage to now include all of the bays and sounds
across Coastal Alabama and the western Florida Panhandle as a
northwesterly to northerly flow increases. This offshore flow will
then diminish throughout the day Monday. A light southeasterly flow
evolves on Tuesday and becomes southerly Tuesday night and gradually
strengthen through midweek as another front approaches from the
west. A strong offshore flow will redevelop late Wednesday night and
Thursday in the wake of the front, and may require the issuance of
the next Small Craft Advisory. /22
