...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continue.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Kentucky, including the
following counties, Pulaski and Rockcastle.
* WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and
flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 847 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain had exited
the area; however, creeks and streams will remain high
through mid-morning. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Vernon, Science Hill, Woodstock, Indian Lakes Park,
Maretburg, Valley Oak, Gum Sulphur, Dabney and Sand Springs.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
