At 405 AM CST, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 13 nm east of Blackwater Bay
Bridge to 19 nm south of Farewell Buoy, moving southeast at 35 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include...
Fort Walton Beach, Big Lagoon, Pensacola Beach, Shalimar, Fort
Pickens, Okaloosa Pier, Pensacola Bay, West Choctawhatchee Bay, East
Santa Rosa Sound, and West Santa Rosa Sound.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
