Primary focus for the next 7 days will be on the anomalous cold
that will bring multiple nights of frosts/freezes to the area.
The first freeze is expected tonight across the eastern half of
the forecast area with lake effect clouds helping to insulate
temperatures in the west. The trough aloft will weaken later
tonight which combined with drier air moving in aloft will help
to dissipate the clouds towards tomorrow morning. In the
meantime, showers look likely across the far west this evening
into tonight in addition to the convective showers across the
south this afternoon.
With skies clearing, even colder temperatures are expected for
Wednesday night with a freeze across the forecast area along
with the potential for low-lying and sheltered areas to see a
hard freeze. Will address headlines for tomorrow night later to
avoid any confusion with the headlines tonight.
Afterwards, broad ridging will bring gradually warmer
temperatures with dry weather and mostly clear to clear skies
through early next week with highs returning back into the lows
70s by Sunday.

VFR conditions expected through the TAF period. There is slight
chances of a few light rain showers at KSBN tonight and into
tomorrow morning with any further push eastward of the eastern
fringe of the lake effect moisture plume that is drifting
southward in the northerly flow but confidence in this outcome
and the timing is very low so left mention out of the TAFs at
this time.
