low humidity and no rainfall

Development of a strong blocking ridge across the Great Lakes mid
week and evolution thereafter highlites the primary forecast
challenge this period in regard to any potential influence from TS
Francine late week. Med range models yesterday suggested some
low potential for this sys to lift up into the srn lakes wwd of
ewd shifting upper high next weekend but that scenario has
largely disbarred in latest 00Z cycle.
Main change will be to ratchet back on any rain mention until
Sat and beyond based on new guidance but concede with token low
chc mention afterward to avoid a flip flop given continued
large intermodel ensemble spread. Nevertheless it remains quite
doubtful this sys will bring any rain of significance to the
area late this weekend or early next week. In the meantime local
drought conditions will intensify in face of increasing heat
and dryness through Fri.
