James, St. John, and St. Charles Parishes, LA...
The National Weather Service office in New Orleans LA will
conduct a storm survey today for the areas near Welcome, LA in St.
James Parish up through Norco, LA in St. Charles Parish. The
survey is in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved
through the area on May 16, 2024.
A preliminary assessment including results of the survey are
expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement as soon as possible.
The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at http://www.weather.gov/lix
