...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Ohio, including the following
counties, Ashtabula, Geauga and Lake.
* WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 812 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen
in the last 30 minutes.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected
over the area with most of this rain falling in 30 to 60
minutes time. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Painesville, Ashtabula, Willowick, Fairport Harbor, Geneva-
On-The-Lake, Euclid, Mentor, Willoughby, Eastlake, Geneva,
Madison, Perry, Timberlake, Lakeline, Mentor-On-The-Lake,
Kirtland, Austinburg, North Perry, Thompson and Kirtland
Hills.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
