...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southeastern Escambia County in northwestern Florida...
Southern Okaloosa County in northwestern Florida...
Southeastern Santa Rosa County in northwestern Florida...
* WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 829 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in Destin and Okalossa Island. Between
4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wright, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Destin, Eglin AFB,
Valparaiso, Mary Esther, Ocean City, Lake Lorraine, Navarre,
Shalimar, Cinco Bayou, Navarre Beach, Longwood, Eglin Village,
Wynnehaven Beach, Postil, Harper, Seminole and Holley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
