.KEY MESSAGES...
* A cold front from near Bowling Green to the southern Bluegrass
will continue dropping south. Isolated to widely scattered
afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms will remain possible
south of the front.
* Temperatures in the mid to upper 80s will increase to the low 90s
by Sunday and the mid 90s for next week.

A cold front is currently bisecting the CWA, stretching from the
Bowling Green area northeast through the southern Bluegrass.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible
southeast of the front towards the Lake Cumberland area into eastern
Kentucky. MLCAPE values reach to near 1,500 J/kg in the area with
moderate lapse rates and weak shear. None of this activity is
expected to produce anything severe before fading tonight. North of
the front, light northerly winds and high pressure are expected to
keep the area dry under continued afternoon cumulus as temperatures
climb into the mid to upper 80s.
Tonight, winds are expected to ease as skies clear. This will lead
to some light patchy fog as the cold front pushes off to the south of
the CWA.
Friday, the upper trough over the eastern US will begin lifting
north as the ridge to the west expands eastward towards the East
Coast. Surface high pressure centered to our northwest will keep
north-northeast winds over southern Indiana and central Kentucky.
Temperatures will climb into the mid 80s.

By Saturday, the upper ridge will cover the southern two-thirds of
the CONUS with the center of the upper high near New Mexico and the
Texas Panhandle. This will keep CAA in the Lower Ohio Valley until
Sunday. Highs will be limited to the mid to upper 80s.
Sunday, the upper high gets pushed farther east over the Ozarks and
northern Texas. The surface high moves east of Kentucky with a low
approaching from the Plains, resulting in WAA returning. We remain
dry as temperatures increase into the low 90s.
For the rest of the week, the upper ridge slides directly over the
Ohio Valley with surface high pressure parked over the Southeast.
Continued WAA and mostly clear skies will help temperatures climb
into the mid 90s with dew points in the mid to upper 60s.

Strengthening high pressure over the local area will favor light and
fickle winds, along with clearing skies overnight. Consequently,
patchy fog is forecast to develop, posing a 20-40% chance for
transient MVFR (or lower) visibilities at RGA, and slightly lower
chances at HNB and BWG between 09-13z; TEMPO groups were used to
highlight this potential at those sites.
