.KEY MESSAGES...
- Heat Advisory in effect for prolonged duration heat with daily
HI's thru Wednesday around/in excess of 100 degrees.
- A stormier pattern emerges over the back half of the week,
with Thursday offering best precipitation and strength of
storm chances.

The synoptic pattern set-up of high pressure aloft building over
the South, while surface high pressure to the east keeps a pump
of warm/moist return flow here, translates to dangerously
hot/humid conditions for us the first half of this new week.
HI's peak daily around/in excess of 100 degrees, and may climb
upwards locally to near 110 degrees on the hottest days,
Monday-Tuesday.
Storm chances return over the back half of the week. The best
and most widespread chance, including strong storm chances, is
Thursday, when a sharp, positively-tilted trof tracks from the
Great Lakes to the Upper Ohio Valley. Best severe and heavy rain
chances do appear to be closer to the synoptic center of the
system, which would keep such chances mostly focused to our
north and east.
