...
At 145 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Gretna, or over Harvey. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
New Orleans, Chalmette, Marrero, Harvey, Timberlane, Metairie,
Avondale, Belle Chasse, Jefferson, Gretna, Westwego, Woodmere,
Terrytown, Bridge City, Estelle, Arabi, Meraux, and Elmwood.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 228 and 244.
Interstate 610 between mile markers 1 and 4.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to
