...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN LAUREL...WEST
CENTRAL OWSLEY...JACKSON...SOUTHEASTERN ROCKCASTLE AND NORTHWESTERN
CLAY COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM EDT...

At 555 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Jep Hill, or 9 miles east of Mount Vernon, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
McKee, Carico, Donaro, Bummer, Robinet, Zekes Point, Maulden, Shop
Branch, Fogertown, Mummie, Tyner, Privett, Bradshaw, Horse Lick,
Hurley, Settle Store, Mershons, Shepherdtown, Hazel Patch, and Camp
Wildcat.

THIS INCLUDES Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile
markers 52 and 53.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
