.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGE 1)
Northwest flow aloft with surface high pressure of Canadian origin
building southeast into the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley today. This
high will build across the region thru the end of the week. Dry
conditions and below average temperatures can be expected with lows
in the 50s and highs in the 70s to near 80.
The surface high shifts east this weekend which will allow for a
warming trend along with higher dew points. Shower and thunderstorms
chances return along with increased heat and moisture. Upper level
shortwave disturbances moving through the northwesterly flow aloft
could lead to periods of greater storm coverage at times.
&&
.AVIATION /09Z THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY/...
Surface high pressure building into the region will offer mainly
clear skies and light winds this morning. This is leading to valley
fog, which may result in a brief period of MVFR visibility
restriction at KLUK. Some higher based cumulus will develop this
afternoon. These cumulus clouds dissipate early this evening leaving
only some high level clouds streaming into the region. Valley fog is
again possible tonight.
OUTLOOK...Thunderstorms possible Sunday and Monday.
