Ohio and northwest Ohio.

Wind gusts are expected to increase today ahead of an approaching
cold front. Gusts from 30 to 40 mph are likely this afternoon and
evening as the front crosses the region. A few higher gusts up to 45
mph are possible with showers that develop along the front late this
afternoon and evening.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Lake Erie.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Southwest winds will cause water levels to fall across western Lake
Erie this morning into the afternoon, with levels potentially
falling briefly to near the critical mark for safe navigation. While
sustained winds are expected to remain below gale-force, brief gale-
force gusts are likely across western Lake Erie with a cold frontal
passage Wednesday afternoon into early Wednesday evening.
