.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 204 PM CDT Wed Oct 29 2025

Steady rainfall and mist continues this afternoon and starts
tapering off by this evening into the overnight with the exception
of the KY Pennyrile and SWIN which could see lingering rainfall till
morning. Skies will start clearing from west to east after midnight
tonight. Breezy winds have not quite materialized today likely due
to the placement of the sfc low being further south than expected.

The upper level low and sfc low move off to the northeast tomorrow.
With the tight pressure gradient on the backside and better mixing,
winds could be breezy out of the north with gusts to around 20 mph.
Northwest flow aloft prevails as another trof descends from the
upper Midwest on Saturday. This will bring some light (15-25%) PoPs
back into the forecast for Saturday evening and overnight. The upper
level trof then looks to close off by Sunday.

Brief ridging aloft moves in before turning more zonal by Wednesday.
Unseasonably cool temperatures continue through the weekend before
we warm up to around average for next week.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z FRIDAY/...
Issued at 1043 PM CDT Wed Oct 29 2025

Lingering -RA and associated vsby reductions across our eastern
terminals will exit the region overnight. IFR/MVFR cigs will
also gradually improve to VFR levels overnight into the morning
from west to east, with skies eventually becoming mostly clear
tomorrow. KEVV/KOWB may not scatter out until later morning to
midday though. Northerly winds will remain elevated overnight,
and a few gusts remain possible. Winds take on more of
northwesterly component tomorrow and increase with gusts of
18-22 kts through the day, eventually becoming light after
sunset.
