.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1239 AM CDT Tue Aug 26 2025

A shortwave rotating through the upper trough over the eastern
states will send another shot of dry air into the area today and
tonight. This dry air along with building high pressure will keep
the area dry through Thursday. Southerly flow returns this weekend
with moisture returning to the area along with increasing rain
chances. High temps will decrease slightly to the upper 80s and
low 90s for today through Thursday. Although still warm, it will
definitely feel much more pleasant thanks to dew points in the 50s
and 60s. By Friday and the weekend, increased cloud cover and
convection will help to keep highs in the low to mid 80s inland to
the upper 80s along the coast. Lows through Wednesday night will
range from the low to mid 60s inland to the upper 60s to around 70
along the coast. Lows gradually increase to the mid to upper 60s
inland to low 70s along the coast by late week and into the
weekend. A Low Risk of rip currents continues through the period.
