...New AVIATION...

.SHORT TERM...
(Tonight through Tuesday night)
Issued at 1101 PM CDT Sun Aug 24 2025

Much appreciated cold-ish front (it's cold by August's
standards at least) has moved through most of the area bringing
drier air in its wake. The overall PW values has cratered from
around ~2.1 in 24 hours ago to ~1.4 in on the 00z sounding today.
The high temperatures also modestly decrease a few degrees with a
few spots reaching into the upper 60s for low temperatures. Heat
index values should remain relatively comfortable for this time of
year. Pretty much any chances of rain will be very low, although
could see an isolated shower or storm right near the coast.

.LONG TERM...
(Wednesday night through Sunday night)
Issued at 1101 PM CDT Sun Aug 24 2025

Relatively low dew points for August continue through most the rest
of the work week with the more moist air beginning to return slowly.
By late Friday night into the weekend would be next appreciable
chance of showers/storms (30%-40%) along with warmer temperatures
and moisture returning.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 623 AM CDT Mon Aug 25 2025

VFR conditions currently across the area at all terminals and
expected to maintain through the period. Precipitation is very
unlikely outside of a slight chance at HUM worth mentioning in
this discussion but not accounted for in the coding. Winds remain
less than 10 kt through the period. /Schlotz/

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 1101 PM CDT Sun Aug 24 2025

Mostly benign conditions are forecasted for the coastal waters for
most of the workweek. The overall chances of showers and storms are
low compared to last week but a few isolated ones could still pop
up. Any storm could cause locally higher waves/seas and gusty winds.
Otherwise winds remain mostly light. There is a small window around
Wednesday where slightly elevated wind speeds could cause small
craft exercise caution criteria.
