The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Nearshore and Open waters from Willowick OH to Ripley NY...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 403 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 13 nm
  northwest of Erie to 24 nm northwest of Fairport Harbor, moving
  east at 30 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Erie, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Ashtabula, Fairport Harbor, Willowick,
  and Conneaut.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
