TERREBONNE, SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON, EAST CENTRAL LAFOURCHE AND
WESTERN PLAQUEMINES PARISHES THROUGH 630 PM CDT

At 605 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
capable of producing waterspouts over marine areas along a line
extending from 10 miles southwest of Myrtle Grove to near Montegut.
These storms were nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
         hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs 
         and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Houma, Larose, Cut Off, Galliano, Golden Meadow, Chauvin, and
Montegut.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
