...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT THIS
EVENING FOR NORTHEASTERN COLUMBIANA, NORTHWESTERN BEAVER AND
LAWRENCE COUNTIES...
At 447 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated light to moderate rain across
the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned
area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

New Castle, Columbiana, East Palestine, Ellwood City, Lisbon,
Oakwood, Leetonia, New Castle Northwest, New Waterford, Big
Beaver, New Beaver, Ellport, Bessemer, New Bedford, Plain Grove
Township, Koppel, Wampum, South New Castle, New Galilee and Enon
Valley.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
