...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Louisiana...
Mississippi River At Donaldsonville affecting Ascension Parish.
Mississippi River At Baton Rouge affecting West Baton Rouge and
East Baton Rouge Parishes.
Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting East Baton Rouge,
West Feliciana and Pointe Coupee Parishes.
For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing, Baton
Rouge, Donaldsonville...Moderate flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Donaldsonville.
* WHEN...Until Friday, May 23.
* IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, Navigation becomes difficult for smaller
river craft. Safety precautions for river traffic are urged.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 27.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise. It will then fall
below flood stage Friday, May 23 to 22.0 feet Monday, June
09.
- Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Baton Rouge.
* WHEN...Until Thursday, May 29.
* IMPACTS...At 38.0 feet, River traffic and industrial activity on
the river side of the levees will be greatly affected.
Navigational safety regulations will be strictly enforced.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 38.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Thursday, May 29 and continue falling to 30.3 feet Monday,
June 09.

* IMPACTS...At 54.0 feet, All river islands along the reach from Red
River Landing to Baton Rouge will be inundated. Recreational camps
and river bottom land will be under water. Water approaches Angola
farm land.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 55.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Friday, June 06 and continue falling to 47.0 feet Monday,
June 09.
- Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
