FOR SOUTHEASTERN RICHLAND...SOUTH CENTRAL ASHLAND AND NORTHEASTERN
KNOX COUNTIES...
At 332 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northwest of
Danville, or 8 miles northeast of Mount Vernon, moving east at 50
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect damage to
trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Vernon, Loudonville, Bellville, Danville, Butler, Perrysville,
Gann, and North Liberty.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for the warned area.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a
tornado is not immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and
move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a
basement or small interior room.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
