.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 310 PM CDT Wed Apr 9 2025

Overall these are the kind of forecasts we dream for with overall
cool and dry conditions through a large portion of the forecast.
The only real concern weather wise is tomorrow night as a subtle
shortwave trough moves through deep northwesterly flow a loft.
As this upper trough moves through, there may be a brief period
for showers and a couple elevated thunderstorms late Thursday
night into early Friday morning. However with generally poor
moisture and relatively weaker forcing, storms will likely be
limited along a re-enforcing surface cold front closer to the
better ascent across the highway 84 corridor. One thing to note
with some elevated instability would be the potential for maybe
some hail with these storms and would not be surprised if someone
reports some hail late Thursday night. The cold front will move
through by Friday morning and we quickly return to dry and cool
through early next week. Expect highs in the low 70s and lows in
the 40s to continue through the weekend before warming up early
next week as upper ridging moves east of the area. BB-8

needed for late Friday night into Saturday morning as winds come
up behind the front. BB-8
