.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 200 AM CDT Mon Apr 7 2025

Finally we're seeing the end to endless rain as drier/colder air
settles in with the arrival of high pressure. The heart of the
cold comes tonight, when freezing temperatures are forecast at
some location in every one of our 58 counties. The coldest
temperatures will be in the mid 20s in our north, with the
warmest, near 32F, in our south, near the TN/AR borders. This
has been a very consistent and strong daily ensemble signal.

Today's highs near 60 will, having that cold start to the day
Tuesday, struggle to reach into the 50s tomorrow. We start to
warm up a little toward more seasonal numbers Wednesday, and
that's when our next chance of rain/storms is incoming...sticking
around for Wednesday-Thursday...with another dry spell after
that. Seasonally mild temperatures stick around the rest of the
week and on into the weekend.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z TUESDAY/...
Issued at 1202 PM CDT Mon Apr 7 2025

VFR conditions through this TAF package. Northwest winds this
afternoon may be gusty at times around 15-18 kts. A secondary
boundary pushes through this evening accompanied by some mid
cloud bases. Winds turn more northerly and eventually
northeasterly with time through the night into tomorrow. Looks
like a 3 to 4 hour window this evening that we may mix some
gusts of 15-20 kts down to the surface as the boundary drifts
southward.
