The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya
  River LA from 20 to 60 NM...
  Coastal waters from Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port
  Fourchon Louisiana from 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 615 AM CST.

* At 437 AM CST, a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of
  producing waterspouts was located along a line extending from 33 nm
  east of Ship Shoal 295 to 51 nm south of Timbalier Island to 29 nm
  south of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, moving east at 25 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and small 
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage 
           vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves. 
           Boats could suffer signifficant structual damage in high 
           winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher 
           waves.

* The cluster of severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open
  waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dangerous high winds and suddenly higher waves are expected! Seek
shelter or move to safe harbor immediately!
