Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Ohio River at Meldahl Dam.
* WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 52.0 feet, Lowland flooding of streets near Neville
continues. Water covers Route 52 near State Route 232 in Point
Pleasant, with backwater flooding up Big Indian Creek resulting in
high water along stretches of Route 232 close to the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 52.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Thursday morning and continue falling, remaining below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 51.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 52.0 feet, Backwater flooding traveling up Red Oak
Creek near Ripley, Ohio results in flooding along and east of
Cherry Street, with water also approaching the Ripley Post Office.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 51.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Thursday afternoon and continue falling, remaining
below flood stage.
- Flood stage is 50.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Ohio River at Cincinnati.
* WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 55.5 feet, Low-lying roads near the river flood in
Anderson Township and East End near Kellogg Avenue, with stretches
of Kellogg Avenue flooded. Basedment flooding in East End occurs.
Flooding occurs along sections of Route 52 in Hamilton and
Clermont Counties. Low-lying roads in Bromley and Ludlow also
flood, as well as stretches of Route 8 in Kentucky, and State
Route 56 near Aurora, Indiana.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 55.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Friday morning and continue falling, remaining below flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 52.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Ohio River at Portsmouth.
* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 51.0 feet, Low-lying flooding occurs along the
southern border of Scioto County, as well as in South Portsmouth.
Routes 73 and 239 are closed near the Ohio River. Much of
Portsmouth itself is protected by flood walls.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 51.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Thursday morning and continue falling, remaining below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 50.0 feet.
