...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TUESDAY TO 9 AM CST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
  7 inches.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From 9 AM Tuesday to 9 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.
  The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and
  Wednesday morning commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dangerous cold temperatures will follow after
  snow ends. Low temperatures in the teens Wednesday morning and
  single digits Thursday morning will cause wind chills to drop
  below zero. The greatest impacts from the extreme cold will occur
  Thursday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If you must travel,
keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of
an emergency. Drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. The latest road conditions
