- Brisk winds will develop this afternoon and persist into
Wednesday. Winds will gust to 35 mph at times.
- Seasonably mild most days through Sunday with highs in the
40s. Turning colder Monday.
- Rain will develop Thursday night then change to snow before
ending late Friday.

Winds will increase this afternoon ahead of a strong cold front
that is expected to deliver a glancing blow on northern Indiana
and surrounding areas tonight. Wind gusts reaching 35 mph are
likely; however, wind headlines (advisories) are not expected.
Kept the forecast dry through Wednesday night given limited
moisture and upper level support. A large upper low will
eventually eject east and should reach the area late Thursday.
Rain will develop Thursday night and persist Friday before
ending early Friday night. There is likely to be a brief
transition to snow before the precipitation ends; however,
snow amounts should be limited and travel impacts are not
expected at this time.
Overall, seasonably mild weather will continue through Sunday
before turning much colder Monday and Tuesday. A weak lake
response is possible (light lake effect snow) by Tuesday;
otherwise, dry weather will prevail.

Southwest flow will increase ahead of a cold front today. The
environment will remain dry and will not be able to support
clouds other than some high clouds. Have included mention of
LLWS given favorable shear. Momentum transfer should support
wind gusts approaching 30 kts. The cold front should pass
through northern Indiana just after the end of the TAF period.
