The National Weather Service in Wilmington has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Logan County in west central Ohio...
* Until 1130 PM EDT.
* At 808 PM EDT, local law enforcement and county emergency
management officials reported flash flooding across the warned
area. Between 2.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Rushsylvania, Bellefontaine, De Graff, Belle Center, West
Mansfield, Chippewa Park, Northwood, Huntsville, Ridgeway,
Zanesfield, Mcmorran, New Jerusalem, Lewistown, Big Springs,
Logansville and Bloom Center.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
