Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected above elevations of 1,500 feet and generally less than 1 inch below 1,500 feet.* WHERE...The Winter Weather Advisory is for a portion of southeast Kentucky.* WHEN...The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 AM EST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions, primarily over higher elevations. This includes KY-160 and KY-179 crossing Black Mountain, US-23, US-421 and US-23 crossing Pine Mountain, and KY-932 near the Virginia/Kentucky border.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As temperatures fall below freezing in valleys, those locations can also expect light snow accumulations to occur, especially on grassy and elevated surfaces.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Slow down and use caution while traveling.
