Additional snow accumulations between 12 and 20 inches are expected across Lake and northern Ashtabula County. Snowfall totals will quickly decrease to the south with 2 to 4 inches expected across southern Ashtabula County.* WHERE...Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, and Lake Counties.* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult to impossible, especially in eastern Lake and northern Ashtabula Counties where 25 to 40 inches of snow has already fallen. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...General snowfall rates should be a bit less efficient with this round of snow, although there will be brief periods of 1 to 2 inch per hour snowfall rates.
