...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southeast Missouri,
southwest Indiana, and western Kentucky.
* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The remnants of Hurricane Helene will continue to bring
periods of heavy rainfall to the area. 2-4 inches of rain has
already fallen in the watch area. Additional rainfall amounts
of 1-2 inches are possible through tonight. Locally higher
amounts are possible.
