.KEY MESSAGES...
* Some clearing skies visible across south central KY and the
Bluegrass region; clouds will linger throughout the night.
Overnight lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
* Tomorrow brings partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s.
* Tranquil weather will continue through the weekend. A brief
warmup will be seen early next week before the next weather system
arrives around mid-week.

Today's clouds are still struggling to clear out. Occasional breaks
are occurring and the layer is thinning according to PIREPs, but
complete clearing is unlikely until around tomorrow afternoon. We
should maintain light easterly surface winds across the CWA as we
sit on the backend of a strong UL trough. We also sit in a small
surface shortwave that tries to push through but gets stagnated by
the nor'easter in the Atlantic. Overnight pushes us into a
northeasterly flow pattern, again mixing in more dry air, which will
prevent fog/drizzle/precip but we should steadily erode the cloud
deck. Overnight lows are expected to remain temperate in the upper
40s to mid 50s.
As we continue that northeasterly flow into tomorrow, we are
expecting to finish mixing out the clouds with drier air. Skies
should be mostly clear tomorrow during the day, allowing us to heat
up to the low-mid 70s across southern Indiana and the Bluegrass
region band the upper 70s across Central and South Central KY.
Friday evening, expect mid-level clouds across the CWA. This should
prevent radiational cooling, keeping our lows around 50-55. Again,
dry air, so no precip/fog expected. We likely clear the clouds out
into Saturday, we should hit the mid-upper 70s again with a light
northerly wind.

Sunday through Thursday...
Sunday should remain mostly clear and we begin to warm up again,
with highs in the mid to upper 70s and dew points in the low 50s.
Certainly a pleasant day across the CWA, with light winds out of the
North keeping us with relatively low-humidity. Overnight brings some
scattered clouds and lows in the low 50s along with keeping our
northerly winds.
Monday keeps the northerly winds, and the whole CWA sees highs in
the upper 70s. This could certainly increase and see a high in the
low 80s if we keep clear skies throughout the day. Monday night
brings lows in the low to mid 50s again.
Tuesday sees a certain return to the low-80s (S IN, Bluegrass) to
mid-80s (Bowling Green area). We swap to an easterly wind, so expect
a smidge more humidity throughout the day and night. Overnight lows
expected aroung the low-mid 60s.
Wednesday brings a surface Low centered over southern IL attached to
a very deep UL trough in the Great Plains. This pushes a strong cold
front across the area later in the evening and our first chance at
measurable precip in a week or so. We should top out with highs in
the low-mid 80s again in the afternoon; wind should switch behind an
advancing cold front to southerly and be stronger throughout the
evening hours, with gusts in the 20-knot mark. Cloudy and rainy
overnight Wednesday with lows in the mid to upper 60s.

Ceilings are slowly rising this afternoon and will continue to raise
and dissipate overnight. ENE winds will continue in the overnight,
becoming calm or near calm by sunrise. Light NE winds return by
the afternoon. Despite some high level clouds Friday, clearer
skies will dominate as the day progresses with VFR conditions
expected all day Friday.
