- A mostly dry cold front moves through today, bringing a shift to
northerly winds and noticeably lower humidity. Relatively benign and
dry weather continues through the week.

A dry front is moving through the area generally from north to
south through this evening. Air temps will remain higher than
normal, with daytime highs in the low 90s. The dry air will bring
some relief from the recent past, though, with Heat Indices
falling out of the hundreds and in some areas reaching into the
lower 90s. Chances for rain are near negligible, but a stray
shower may pop up especially along coastal areas.

Heading into the later part of the weekend, we will switch back to
southeasterly flow which will bring moisture back in. With
daytime highs remaining in the low 90s, a bit on the unseasonably
warm side, the added moisture will push the feels-like temps a bit
more to the uncomfortable side in the upper 90s. We may start to
see PoPs creep back up with the moisture recovery that starts
Sunday, especially by the end of the period when PoPs are as high
as 30%.

Light winds and relatively low seas continue through Thursday
outside isolated thunderstorms, which could produce brief strong
and erratic wind gusts. A cold front moves through the coastal
waters today, followed by strengthening northerly to northeasterly
winds and building seas through Thursday. Winds should remain
around 15 knots during this period. Winds shift to more NE to E by
the end of the week with speeds at or below 20 knots.
