The forecast remains largely unchanged as we continue to
anticipate a brief taste of Fall here on the gulf coast.
Unfortunately that still entails warm highs, but the lows will be
noticeably cooler late week into the weekend. Highs Thursday top
out in the middle to upper 80's over the interior and near 90
along the coast into southeast MS. Our first noticeably cooler
night comes Thursday night as lows fall into the lower to middle
60's. Friday is the coolest day for highs only in the lower to
middle 80's, with a gradual warming trend through the weekend back
to upper 80's to near 90 for most locations. Lows also reach
their minimum Friday night in the upper 50's to lower 60's for
most locations. Likewise, they follow a gradual warming trend
through the weekend into early next week into the lower to middle
60's.
Outside of some isolated showers tonight through daybreak, the
forecast remains dry until we get back into early next week. We'll
likely see rain chances start to increase by Monday with isolated
to scattered storms possible. A Low rip current risk Thursday increases
to a Moderate risk Thursday night through Friday, returning to a
Low risk as we go into the weekend. MM/25

A stingy MVFR cloud deck has stuck around into the
afternoon for much of the western FL panhandle, though this is
expected to break into a scattered CU field as the afternoon
progresses. Later into the afternoon, a mid level impulse should
spark scattered convection along the seabreeze boundaries,
thereafter these storms will push south and diminish over the gulf
overnight. VFR conditions and northeasterly winds are expected to
settle in after the storms and persist through the rest of the

A light east to northeast flow increases tonight into Thursday
before decreasing Thursday afternoon. Northeast flow increases
again late Thursday night into Friday morning. Small craft should
exercise caution over the open Gulf waters late tonight and again
late Thursday night through Friday morning. A diurnal flow pattern
follows for this weekend with light offshore winds developing at
night then becoming mostly onshore each day. /13
