1) A chance for showers and thunderstorms will develop across the
region this evening into tonight. Another chance for showers and
thunderstorms will develop Thursday afternoon.

.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGE 1)
Mid level short wave energy will drop down across the southern Great
Lakes this afternoon into tonight. As the airmass across the region
destabilizes through this afternoon, scattered showers and
thunderstorms will develop off to our northwest across parts of
northern Indiana and lower Michigan in association with the short
wave. This activity will move southeast into at least northwest
portions of our area by this evening, but the airmass across our
area will not be as unstable by this time. As a result, expect to
see an overall weakening/decreasing trend in coverage as the pcpn
moves southeast into our area tonight. Marginal deep layer shear
will trend upwards through this evening, so suppose a few strong to
severe storms cannot be ruled across mainly our northwest, with
damaging wind the main threat. However, this threat should diminish
fairly quickly as we head into tonight and the pcpn moves southeast
into the rest of our area.
The short wave energy will continue to move east into Thursday. Some
destabilization through the afternoon will lead to some additional
chances for showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon into
early evening, primarily across eastern portions of our area.

.AVIATION /06Z WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/...
High level clouds will drop down across the region this morning.
With light winds, some river valley fog will be possible through
daybreak and will allow for some MVFR vsby restrictions at KLUK.
Scattered VFR cu can be expected this afternoon. An upper level
disturbance will pivot through the southern Great Lakes tonight.
This will lead to a chance for showers and a few thunderstorms this
evening into the overnight hours.
OUTLOOK...Thunderstorms possible Thursday afternoon.
