...Storm Survey Scheduled for Franklin and Dearborn counties in
Indiana and Preble, Montgomery, and Warren counties in Ohio
today...
Based on video and radar evidence, the National Weather Service
in Wilmington, OH can confirm a tornado occurred in Franklin
County, Indiana on Saturday, August 1st. The National Weather
Service will conduct a storm survey around Highland Center,
Indiana and surrounding areas in Franklin and Dearborn counties to
determine additional details regarding the tornado.
Additionally, the National Weather Service will be conducting a
storm survey near Eaton and near Wheatville in Preble County OH,
near west Dayton in Montgomery County, OH, and near Franklin in
Warren County, OH.
These surveys are in relation to the severe thunderstorms that
occurred on the evening of August 1st.
A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information Statement
within the coming days.

website at http://www.weather.gov/iln
