...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT /630 PM CDT/ THIS
EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northern Indiana, including
the following counties, in north central Indiana, St. Joseph. In
northern Indiana, La Porte and Marshall.
* WHEN...Until 730 PM EDT /630 PM CDT/.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 423 PM EDT /323 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and
2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
La Porte, Walkerton, North Liberty, Koontz Lake, Kingsbury,
Fish Lake, Stillwell, Salem Heights, Teegarden, Tyner and
Linkville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
