EDT/1130 PM CDT/ FOR NORTH CENTRAL CLINTON...RUSSELL AND SOUTHEASTERN
CASEY COUNTIES...
At 1220 AM EDT/1120 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located near
Faubush, moving east at 75 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR THE LAKE CUMBERLAND REGION.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
Locations impacted include...
Jamestown, Russell Springs, Horntown, Eli, Mintonville, Jericho,
Windsor, Teddy, Webbs Cross Roads, and Royville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM EDT/200 AM CDT/ for
central and south central Kentucky.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. This storm is producing widespread
wind damage across the Lake Cumberland region. SEEK SHELTER NOW
inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
