  Merrimack River At Lowell affecting Middlesex and Essex Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Connecticut...Massachusetts...New Hampshire...

  Connecticut River At Thompsonville affecting Hampden and Hartford
  Counties.

  Connecticut River At Northampton affecting Hampden and Hampshire
  Counties.

  Connecticut River At Middle Haddam affecting Middlesex County.

  Connecticut River At Hartford affecting Middlesex and Hartford
  Counties.

  Nashua River At East Pepperell affecting Worcester, Hillsborough
  and Middlesex Counties.

For the Connecticut River...including Montague, Northampton, Holyoke
Dam, Holyoke, Springfield, Thompsonville, Hartford, Middle Haddam...
Minor flooding is forecast.
For the Merrimack River...including Lowell, Lawrence, Groveland...
Minor flooding is forecast.
For the Nashua River...including East Pepperell...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Merrimack River at Lowell.

* WHEN...From this morning to this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 52.0 feet, Lowland flooding is likely along the
  Merrimack River. Most of the impact will be felt by businesses and
  mills where basement flooding is likely.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 52.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 52.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:30 AM EDT Sunday was 52.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    this morning and continue falling to 50.3 feet Tuesday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 52.0 feet.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Northampton.

* WHEN...Until late this evening.

* IMPACTS...At 112.0 feet, Lowland flooding is expected in and
  around Northampton including low lying sections of the Oxbow.
  Minor flooding affects Hadley along Aqua Vitae Road. In Hatfield,
  flooding is expected in the lowest lying sections, primarily
  farming interests outside flood dike protection.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 112.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 112.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:00 AM EDT Sunday was 112.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this afternoon and continue falling to 108.8 feet
    Tuesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 112.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Middle Haddam.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Flooding closes most of Meadow Road, Route
  17A, in the Gildersleeve section of Portland. Flooding impacts the
  Middletown Marina and Meadow Farms. In Cromwell, portions of River
  Road will be closed. In Rocky Hill, parts of Meadow Road will be
  impassable for a time. Flooding continues along the river
  southward through Essex.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:55 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 7.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 6:55 AM EDT Sunday was 7.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 8.7 feet tomorrow evening.
    It will then fall late tomorrow evening. It will rise to 8.9
    feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall again but
    remain above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Hartford.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Flooding is expected along the river in
  portions of Wethersfield, Glastonbury, Rocky Hill and Cromwell.
  The high waters and swift flows will disrupt some cross river
  ferry services. Upstream of Hartford, flooding will continue to
  affect portions of Windsor. Immediate river roads may become
  impassable in all of these communities. Further downstream
  flooding will continue to overspread sections of Portland,
  Middletown as well as Chester.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 17.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:30 AM EDT Sunday was 17.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.8
    feet late tonight.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
