along a line extending from near New Sarpy to 6 miles southeast of
Shell Beach.
Movement was north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, funnel clouds and winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
         and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Catherine, Chalmette, Luling, Poydras, Boutte, River Ridge, New
Orleans Armstrong Airport, Lakefront Airport, Ama, Destrehan,
Avondale, New Orleans, Estelle, St. Rose, Woodmere, Metairie, Norco,
Paradis, Elmwood, and Violet.

This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 212 and 255.
Interstate 310 between mile markers 1 and 11.
Interstate 510 between mile markers 1 and 3.
Interstate 610 between mile markers 1 and 4.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

If on or near marine areas, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from
the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
