...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF OHIO AND SWITZERLAND
COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM EDT...
At 458 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 9 miles northwest of
Vevay, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, half inch hail, and very heavy
rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to
vegetation. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Center Square, Braytown, Aberdeen, Pate, Pleasant, Markland,
Avonburg, Moorefield, Rising Sun, Patriot, Fairview, Bear Branch,
East Enterprise, French, Vevay, Allensville, Quercus Grove, Mount
Sterling, North Landing, and Jacksonville.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
southeastern Indiana...and northern Kentucky.
