...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING
THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding
expected. For the Coastal Flood Watch, moderate to significant
coastal flooding possible.
* WHERE...In Louisiana, Lower St. Bernard, Southeast St. Tammany
and Eastern Orleans Parishes. In Mississippi, Southern Hancock
County.
* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 10 AM to 7 PM CDT
Wednesday. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from Wednesday evening
through Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property
including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure
may be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...These locations may need a Coastal Flood
Warning as early as Wednesday but it looks more likely through
the remainder of the week and possibly into the weekend.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

* WHERE...In Louisiana, St. John The Baptist, Lower Terrebonne,
Lower Lafourche, Coastal Jefferson Parish, Lower Plaquemines,
Southwestern St. Tammany, Lower Tangipahoa and Southern
Livingston Parishes. In Mississippi, Southern Harrison and
Southern Jackson Counties.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property
including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure
may be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A Coastal Flood Advisory may be needed for
tomorrow but the higher tides may be another day away when a
Coastal Flood Warning or Advisory would be needed and needed
through the remainder of the week and into the weekend.
