.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 317 AM EST Mon Mar 3 2025

Potent upper disturbance over srn CA will sharpen through the srn
Rockies today before ejecting out into the srn plains early Tue.
This sys will deepen considerably as it heads for the great lakes
Wed, spreading rain into the area Tue as downstream warm advection
blossoms in turn with GOA moisture return. Heaviest rainfall
anticipated Tue night in association with strongest LLJ induced
moisture flux and strongest forcing aloft. However general
progressive nature of this sys , wwd track of sfc cyclone and
extensive convection through the lower MS valley will limit overall
rain amounts. Sfc occlusion follows Wed with moist cyclonic wrap
around continuing through Wed evening as sys lifts out into se
Canada. Wrapping under cutting cold advection will yield some light
snow but any accumulation looks to be minimal Wed evening. Evolution
of this sys will yield substantial moderation in temps through
early Wed.

Thereafter secondary splitting wave follows into the wrn US Thu.
Leading split looks to streak out through the srn lakes late Fri
with a period of rain or snow late day with briefly colder wx
following next weekend.
