...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EST
SATURDAY...
* WHAT...A mixture of snow and rain will develop today and then
become all snow by late in the day. The snow will transition to
snow showers this evening and then taper to flurries during the
night. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected for
most locations, with the most significant accumulations expected
above elevations of 1500 feet.
* WHERE...The Winter Weather Advisory is for a portion of southeast
Kentucky.
* WHEN...the Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 AM EST
Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...With valley temperatures above freezing
today, most of the initial snow is likely to melt there. However,
as temperatures fall to around freezing in valleys early this
evening, those locations can also expect light accumulations.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
